Speaker Bio:

David Keeling is the General Manager for Western United States for the Steel Recycling Institute (SRI). He is a LEED Accredited Professional in the United States Green Building Council.

Mr. Keeling’s recycling related responsibilities include working on the state, county and municipal levels to implement steel recycling, as well as expand the steel recycling infrastructure and developing additional end markets for post-consumer steel.

His construction related responsibilities require him to serve as an informational resource about the sustainable attributes of steel construction to the building community in his region. His main focus has been to foster and expand his relationships with the staff, leadership and members of the local chapters of the United States Green Building Council and other construction related organizations.

Abstract:

Steel prices have been trending downwards over the past year.  We will take a look at the reasons for these developments and where steel might be heading.
